SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The State/Federal Disaster Recovery Center in Jackson will convert to a U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Outreach Center on Friday, March 31, 2023. The center will continue to operate at the Amador County Administration Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
“At this stage of the recovery process, the emphasis for assistance is to meet the long-term needs of businesses and individuals that were impacted by severe winter storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides that occurred Dec. 27, 2022 - Jan. 31, 2023,” said SBA’s Director Tanya N. Garfield of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Field Operations Center-West. “The transition of the Jackson Disaster Recovery Center to an SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center will better meet the current needs of Amador County residents.”
“SBA customer service representatives will continue to answer questions, explain the application process, help businesses apply for a low-interest disaster loan and close their approved disaster loans,” Garfield continued. The Disaster Loan Outreach Center will be open on the days and times indicated. No appointment is necessary.

Recently, U.S. SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman announced a policy change granting 12 months of no payments and 0% interest. This pertains to all disaster loans approved in response to disasters declared on or after September 21, 2022, through September 30, 2023. This covers SBA disaster loans currently available for Hurricane Fiona and Hurricane Ian.
