The journey to establishing Ancient Lore Village was anything but ordinary. In the midst of political campaigning alongside his son, Randy, Tom was stirred by a troubling realization: the palpable discord, intolerance, and misunderstanding marring society. The vibrant tapestry of different personalities he encountered was overshadowed by hatred and division. Thus, the spark to author a book, which then evolved into the unique, immersive experience that is the Ancient Lore Village, was ignited.
The village is not simply a boutique resort and event venue, specializing in fantasy-driven weddings and group gatherings. It is a vibrant testament to Tom’s vision of a place where diverse characters, borrowed from different worlds, could coexist in an atmosphere laden with peace and harmonious living. For Tom, the stories, encapsulated in his book, had to leap off the pages and embed themselves into the real world, offering a physical space for people to witness and interact with a reality where goodness prevails.
Commencing the journey in late 2018, Tom forged ahead with his idea, officially establishing a footing in the business world in January of 2019. The development timeline of Ancient Lore Village is a study in perseverance, ingenuity, and unwavering commitment to a dream. From conceptualizing structures inspired by his stories, like themed rooms and spaces designed to offer immersive experiences, to actually translating these into physical entities, Tom and his team dedicated themselves to creating a world where guests could genuinely connect with one another.
Navigating through myriad challenges, from financial hurdles and demanding development phases, to ensuring that the village stood as a beacon of sustainability and respect to the natural environment, Tom persevered. Notably, the journey was also marked by a strategic approach to financial management and development, with a sharp focus on ensuring each phase of the project was meticulously planned and executed, totaling a noteworthy $13 million initial investment for the project's phase one.
