2022 Arkansas Family-Owned Small Business of the Year: All Electric Supply, LLC

Roy T. Beard, Jr. opened his business, All Electric Supply, Inc. in 1957 with many years of experience in supplying electrical parts and service. Jordan Beard is the third-generation, American Indian owner of the small business started by his grandfather and has expanded the family-owned company to new heights.

All Electric Supply is a full line distributor of electrical supplies, including electrical switchgear, lighting, wires, conduits, and connectors that sells to contractors and end users. End users include any business that has a full-time facility maintenance staff, such as industrial, institutional, and commercial property owners.

After taking helm of the family enterprise in 2011 current owner Jordan Beard looked to improve the company’s bottom line and solidify the legacy of the company by shifting the company’s focus from electric supply to focus more on design-build construction services for commercial, institutional, and federal governmental clients. All Electric Supply became certified under the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program in 2020 which led to rapid growth, several competitive federal contract awards, and a new division of the company solely focused on federal contracting: AmerInd.

All Electric Supply relied on the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan as they struggled through the pandemic. Together these programs allowed the business to retain employees, prevented layoffs, and created opportunity for business to retool its sales force. “If not for pandemic relief, our business may not exist today,” stated Jordan.

With its new vision, and energetic leader, All Electric is optimistic about their future, from where they started supplying electric parts and service, to design-build construction services for federal agencies, there is nothing that All Electric cannot conquer with the right support.
