In addition to the national-level awards, SBA's 68 District Offices celebrate their entrepreneurs with local District Office Awards. National-level awards, including Small Business Person of the Year, go on to compete for additional recognition and some winners are invited to attend ceremonies in Washington, D.C. The district level winners are honored locally.
Nominees will compete for the District Office Award(s) within an SBA District Office. Nominees must demonstrate success in business, as well as contributions to their local communities.
