Event description
The City of Miramar Economic Development and Housing Department, through its Miramar Business Academy (MBA), presents its 2025 program—designed to help individuals and entrepreneurs seize business opportunities, build thriving enterprises, and create lasting wealth. This year’s focus? Helping entrepreneurs and small business owners successfully prepare for grant and loan applications from municipalities, CDFIs, foundations, corporate sponsors, and traditional financial institutions.
Session 8: Strategic Hiring for Sustainable Growth
Most businesses plan on growing. People are needed for that. They might be employees, temps, 1099s, contractors, sub-contractors. You want the best.
The work that needs to be done must be described. The skill sets needed established. Pay must be determined. Pipelines to sources need to be built. Selection processes constructed. Training must be put in place. Performance measurements established.
This session focuses on a critical resource of any business – the people. It might just be you at the start but most successful small businesses in Florida have 5-8 people working for them eventually.
Understanding what is involved is a smart use of your time.
