Event description
The Nashville Public Library (NPL) will focus on its free business-related research tools for entrepreneurs. Come prepared with your business Idea or business plan and be ready to access resources, use them to support your business, and ask questions relevant for your business.
NPL will walk attendees through how to:
- Access resources from anywhere
- Research your customer base and competitors
- Monitor industry and market trends
- Export data
We will cover a brief tutorial on how to sign-up for a card, how to access eBooks and databases. We also plan to cover different databases in each section.
Your Instructors: Bailey Battilla and Corey Frederick
Bailey has been the Adult Librarian of the Donelson Branch Library since 2022, where he launched a Repair Fair Program that has helped save hundreds of pounds of waste from going to the landfill. He is also actively involved in NPLMB and helps to write the newsletter and is a host on the NPLMB Podcast. His hobbies are reading fantasy, playing saxophone, and losing at chess. Bailey has a cat named Cannoli that likes pets (sometimes).
Corey Frederick has worked with Nashville Public Library for ten years and is currently the Branch Manager of the Goodlettsville Branch Library. Corey has worked on the NPL Means Business initiative since its start in April 2021, regularly promoting the initiative’s new services to business-focused community organizations and the public throughout Nashville and Davidson County.
