Program Overview:

The Export Essentials Workshop is an intensive, 2-day program designed to equip small business owners and entrepreneurs with the essential skills and strategies needed to enter and succeed in international markets. This hands-on training covers every stage of the export process, from evaluating market potential to identifying buyers, developing pricing strategies, protecting intellectual property, and ensuring compliance with international regulations.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is ideal for small business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs who are new to exporting or looking to expand their business into international markets. Participants should be U.S.-based businesses with an interest in global growth and a commitment to learning the fundamentals of successful exporting.

Program Delivery & Dates:

The Export Essentials Workshop will be delivered in person in Bakersfield, CA on April 3-4, 2025.  The session is facilitated by experienced trade professionals and includes lectures, case studies, interactive exercises, and practical resources that participants can apply directly to their business plans.

Target Audience:

The program specifically targets small businesses and entrepreneurs, including those from underserved, rural, and immigrant-owned enterprises, who are ready to explore export opportunities and build an export-ready business. The training is suitable for a wide range of industries, with customized content to address unique challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
