Tax season is here! Join the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for an informative five-part Small Business Tax Workshop Series. Participants are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible.
The first three sessions are relevant to all small business owners, regardless of the type of business or whether you have employees. The final two sessions are designed for those who currently have employees or are considering hiring in the future.
Session 5 - How to Manage Payroll and Withholding the Correct Amount of Taxes
By managing payroll correctly and withholding the right amount of taxes, businesses can stay compliant, maintain employee trust, and avoid financial and legal troubles, ensuring smooth operations and long-term success.
In this workshop, we'll discuss
- Your responsibilities as an employer to identify wages that are subject to employment taxes
- Calculation of your payroll taxes using the appropriate method
- Discussion of federal unemployment taxes
