Employee Handbooks are arguably the single most important source document organizations of any size should have to serve as the central operating manual for managing and effectively leading people. The inverse can be said if the Employee Handbook is not regularly updated to reflect changes in employment law, governmental regulations, and organizational policies. Non-existent or poorly written Employee Handbooks can be damaging to any leadership efforts, undermine the organization’s goals, and bring about untold legal problems.
