2025 Community Resource Network Conference

Event description

South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs (SCDVA) is hosting a state-wide Community Resource Network Conference(CRNC) on 30 April 2025 with the primary purpose of collaborating and sharing best practices as we enable Veterans, transitioning service members, Military Families, Veteran advocates, community service providers, and stakeholders to have a collective voice in identifying community goals and work to resolve gaps in service at the local level. The overarching goal is to improve service delivery for Veterans, Military Families, Caregivers, and Survivors where they live, work, and raise their families.

The CRNC will be an in-person event centered around the roles of Community Veteran Engagement Boards (CVEB)/ Veteran Engagement Councils (CEV)/Veteran Advisory Councils (VEC). CVEB/VEC/VACs play an integral role by looking generally at veterans and what their holistic needs may be, as well as who provides support to veterans and how veterans are connected to those services. There will also be different breakout rooms that will focus on specific areas like mental health support, Veteran employment/entrepreneurship, suicide prevention and Veteran housing.
