Event description
This event is free and open to all contractors, focusing on hot topics, policy updates, and acquisition forecasts relevant to small businesses.
The day is structured as follows:
- Morning: Presentations by USACE Districts and distinguished speakers.
- Afternoon: Matchmaking and networking, where contractors can visit booths and connect one-on-one with representatives from federal, state, and local agencies, as well as various USACE Districts
Highlights from Last Year:
- Over 260 online registrations, 20+ walk-ins, 200 representatives from 155 firms attended, excluding presenters and agency representatives.
- Presenters included representatives from MVD, New Orleans, Galveston, Mobile, Vicksburg, Memphis, Rock Island Districts, and community partners.
- Networking and matchmaking sessions included LA District 2, SBA, LA APEX Accelerator, CTAC, SAME, NASA, and GNO Inc, LSBDC, and other industry partners.
- The New Orleans District showcased strong involvement from key divisions, including the Executive Office, Small Business Programs, Contracting, Construction, Engineering, Operations, PPMD, IR, PAO and VI which was well-received by attendees.
This Year’s Focus:
Taking a regional approach, the event will be hosted collaboratively by the New Orleans, Vicksburg, and Memphis Districts (known as the Mississippi Valley Lower Three Districts). Goal is to surpass last year’s numbers, aiming for more than 300 registrants and attendees.
