Your Instructor: LaVonda "Mikki" Brown
As a Business Access Advisor with more than three decades of banking experience, LaVonda is enthusiastic about her responsibility to build trusted relationship within diverse own businesses to ensure equitable access to capital and resources. The strategy is to provide information, connection, and capital to small business whereby the viability of the business creates thriving communities the produces jobs, home ownership and generational wealth. Lavonda spends her day understanding the business and it needs to establish a team of professional that will assist the client with their businesses.
LaVonda unique multidisciplinary background comprises banking and finance, Sales, and non- profit work. She is known for her deeply extol professional in making key connections, building relationships, leading dynamic teams, and leveraging her work ethics to connect people with opportunities. Sought out for her strategic business acumen, training and development, and sales leadership, LaVonda found time to serve as CFO for a non-profit for thirteen years.
LaVonda has balanced her keenness for achievement with ethics in meeting the needs of others first. Her achievement afforded her the opportunity to move to Tennessee in 2022, whereby she is a current resident of Hermitage. She actively works with NBIC, Salvation Army, STARS, Urban league, and Operation Hope.
Time away from work is with her family. LaVonda stays centered in everything she does because of her relationship with God. She believes that everyone has a purpose, and that the value of any purpose connects to a benefit for someone else.
