Event description
Today, the standards of success for businesses go beyond pure profitability. Businesses are being held to account for their impact on society and the environment, and younger generations increasingly want to work for—and buy from—purpose-driven companies. Impact business models have been on the rise for years, thanks to a paradigm shift recognizing that for-profit businesses can be—and should be—a force for positive social and environmental change in our society. Impact businesses come in all shapes and sizes, from certified B Corps to social enterprises, and they also come with their own unique set of challenges.
Join us for a power-packed virtual panel discussion with three entrepreneurs who will share insights from their own journey building highly successful impact businesses in Southeast PA. We’ll hear from Jennie Groff, CEO and part-owner of Stroopies Inc., an employment-based social enterprise; Kali Gibson, Impact Consultant and social impact trainer; and Peter Barber, President and founder of Two Dudes Painting Company, a certified B Corp. Some questions we’ll cover during this Webinar:
- How can you integrate sustainability and impact in your business practices today?
- What are the benefits of being a B Corp and what’s the process of becoming certified?
- What types of social enterprise business models exist?
- What are some effective methods and tools of measuring your social or environmental impact?
- What are the unique challenges facing B Corps and social enterprises today?
