Event description
The BTB-Reboot curriculum provides assistance to those interested in exploring business ownership or other self-employment opportunities by leading participants through the key steps for evaluating business concepts and providing foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan. Participants are introduced to a broad spectrum of entrepreneurial business concepts and resources available to access start-up capital, technical assistance, contracting opportunities, and more.
Our Boots to Business-Reboot (B2BR) classes are offered on Tuesdays in a virtual format from 5-7:30pm;( Pacific Standard Time) Two-three MODULES ARE TAUGHT PER WEEK. Must register for each week separately.
MODULE 4: THE ECONOMICS OF SMALL BUSINESS START-UP
OBJECTIVE: Understand the foundation for the cost, price, volume relationship, as it informs profit potential and sustainability for the planned venture.
MODULE 5: LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES
OBJECTIVE: Understand the various legal forms of a business and the opportunities and challenges associated with each. Offer an overview of other legal considerations impacting veteran-owned businesses. How is the owner paid, taxed, and what type of liability are they exposed to. The importance of seeking legal counsel.
