Event description

Have you been in business for two years? Are you a small business ready to grow?

The federal government aims to award 5 percent of all federal contracting dollars to small, disadvantaged businesses.

If your business is at least 51% owned and controlled by a U.S. citizen who is socially and economically disadvantaged, you may be eligible for the SBA 8(a) business development program.

You may be wondering, what are the benefits of certification? By getting certified as an 8(a) small business, you may complete and receive set-aside and sole-source federal contracts, receive one-on-one business development assistance, connect with procurement and compliance experts who understand regulations, and much more.

We invite you to explore the "nuts and bolts" of the SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program.

What you will learn:

  • The benefits of SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program.
  • Program eligibility requirements.
  • The steps and processes to apply for the 8(a) Business Development Program.
