This helpful SBA class provides an overview of business banking services and will show you the:
- Benefits of building effective long-term relationships with bankers (branch managers and lenders) and business advisors
- Factors to consider when selecting a financial institution
- Features, advantages, and risks associated with financial services and products
- Types of financing options and lenders
- Factors to consider when evaluating financing options
- Ways to improve your chances of getting a loan, including building a strong personal and business credit history, keeping accurate business records, and understanding the Five C’s of Credit
- Ways to recognize and avoid small business fraud, scams, and cybersecurity risks
MSSB was developed jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Presented by: Linda Williams serves the Dallas/Fort Worth District Office as an Economic Development Specialist. She joined SBA in 2001 and has also held positions as a loan specialist and as a lender relations specialist. Prior to joining SBA she held marketing and sales management positions in the publishing and health care industries. Earning a Master of Business Administration degree from Dallas Baptist University, she taught as an adjunct professor in the undergraduate business program. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington and is well known for her workshops and webinars for entrepreneurs.
