SBA's Working Capital Pilot Program (WCP) offers affordable and flexible loan options
Event description
Join us to learn more about the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) Working Capital Pilot (WCP) Program which is a line of credit revamped to better meet the needs of growing small and medium-sized businesses.
Lines of credit are one of the most flexible and affordable ways to manage working capital needs because interest is only charged when the funds are needed.
The WCP leverages our signature 7(a) Loan Program and SBA Lenders, with an innovative fee structure to give business owners more affordable loan options and flexibility. It provides liquidity to go after new business, expand into international markets, and compete in the marketplace with the confidence that related costs can be covered.
Program topics will include:
• WCP overview
• Types of WCP loans (Transaction vs. Asset Based Loans)
• New annual WCP guaranty fee
This program will be led by Miguel Peñaloza of the SBA’s Office of International Trade (OIT). Miguel supports small businesses and lenders which engage with SBA’s three core export loan programs and WCP. Prior to joining the SBA, Miguel worked as a Loan Specialist with the U.S. Export-Import Bank (ExIm Bank) as well as a Membership Manager with the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). His background in lending provides a unique understanding of the financing needs for small business exporters. Miguel is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.
