Instructions:

Government Contracting: The federal government’s goal is to award 5% of all federal contracts to service-disabled veteran-owned businesses (SDVOSB) each year. In fact, SDVOSBs received 5.07% of all federal contracting dollars in 2023. Government contracting offers tremendous financial opportunities for veteran-owned small businesses, but it can be difficult to compete in the federal marketplace. The SBA and its local resource network help set veteran entrepreneurs up for success no matter where they are in their government contracting journey, whether they’re just starting out or ready to expand their services within the federal government sector. Veteran small businesses can compete for set-aside contracts at the VA through the Veterans First Contracting program. Businesses must be verified as a veteran-owned small business (VOSB) or SDVOSB to participate and must receive their verification through SBA’s VetCert program.
