Join us for Veterans in Business, an event celebrating National Veterans Small Business Week, hosted by 1 Million Cups, in partnership with SBA and UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center. The event will feature a presentation by David Carter, veteran and owner of SGT. SALSA, who won the 2024 RISE Up Harlingen Business Pitch Competition. David will share his journey as a business owner and how he turned his idea into a successful business.
Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) during info sessions that will cover useful tools and resources for veterans interested in starting or growing their businesses.
There will be a special presentation on Access to Capital, focusing on SBA-backed loans and other funding options. Whether you're a veteran or a non-veteran entrepreneur, this session will provide valuable insights into finding the right financing to support your business.

1 Million Cups is a platform where two guest entrepreneurs are given the time and place to share their entrepreneurial journey with an active group of business owners, experts, and community leaders.
