Event description
- What is it? RI businesses are now required to file a Beneficial
Ownership Information Report with the federal Financial Crimes
Enforcement Network (FinCEN). - Who has to file? LLCs, Corporations, Partnerships, and Non-Profits
- How much does it cost? There is NO FEE to file, but the filing is
mandatory. - What if I don’t file? Civil penalties of $500/day and criminal fines of
up to $10,000 and up to two years imprisonment.
