Access to Capital for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses | SBA Illinois | 11/13/2024
Since 2013, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has coordinated National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW) to celebrate, connect, and empower service members (including National Guard and Reserve components), veterans, and military spouses who are entrepreneurs or business owners.
Presenters Stephen Konkle, Economic Development Specialist from SBA Illinois and Margaret Griffin, Executive Vice President of Somercor will provide an overview of all SBA Guarantee, Disaster, and Capital Access Programs:
- An explanation of 7(a), 504 CAPline, and Export program structure
- How a bank gets support from SBA to assist startups in expanding businesses and changes in ownership
- SBA's Resource Network (i.e. SBDC, SCORE, WBC, VBOC) and how they work with banks to assist small business clients
- Where to find SBA Resources online
