Federal Contracting for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses - SBA Illinois - 11/14/2024

Since 2013, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has coordinated National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW) to celebrate, connect, and empower service members (including National Guard and Reserve components), veterans, and military spouses who are entrepreneurs or business owners.  

The Federal Government has a long history of supporting Veteran-owned businesses through set-aside and sole-source contracts, as well as through education and training initiatives. At this event, presenters will cover resources available to Veterans who own or intend to start a business. 

Presenting will be Steve Konkle of SBA's Illinois District Office who has led Veteran's programs in the department for 20+ years, and esteemed guest David Rambhajan, a former Marine who is a serial entrepreneur and avid supporter of veteran-owned small businesses. David is also an advisor for the newly formed Chicago Veterans Chamber of Commerce. Steve and David will review available resources, including government contracting, and share lessons learned and unique strategic perspectives that could prove beneficial in growing your business.
