By advancing EJ, the SBA seeks to protect people and small businesses from disproportionate and adverse environmental impacts and allow them to access a healthy, sustainable, and resilient environment. Many SBA programs focus on strengthening access and opportunity for small businesses and communities that have faced barriers or burdens to investment and economic security.
