For today’s entrepreneur, few endeavors are as valuable and worthwhile as continuous learning. In fact, eight in ten people say learning adds purpose to their work — this according to LinkedIn’s annual Workplace Learning Report. Thanks to SBA Small Business Summer School, the learning never has to stop. Here’s what is on the syllabus for Small Business Summer School 2024.
- Learning Center: As if running a business isn’t time-consuming enough, summer can be especially busy — personally and professionally. That’s why the SBA Learning Center is all about learning on your terms. Learn how to plan, launch, manage, and grow a business anytime with the SBA Learning Center’s pre-recorded, on-demand lessons.
- Local Events: SBA and our resource partners like SCORE, Small Business Development Centers, Women’s Business Centers and Veterans Business Outreach Centers host workshops, webinars, and other events for the knowledge-seeking entrepreneur. Find local in-person or virtual events using our events calendar.
- Ascent: The views are so much better when you’re at the top of your game. Ascent can help you get there. A free digital learning platform for small business owners, Ascent was designed to help entrepreneurs grow. Ascent features 12 topic areas — also known as “Journeys” — and within these are excursions that include discussion guides, videos, self-assessments, and more.
- Boots to Business (B2B): Vetrepreneurs around the globe master the basics of business ownership through B2B. Offered online and in-person, the B2B program serves veterans, active-duty service members, military spouses, National Guard and Reserve members, and service members transitioning to civilian life. And since not all veterans have access to take courses on base, B2B Reboot brings the program directly into communities.
- Empower to Grow: The marketplace can be intimidating for disadvantaged small businesses. Empower to Grow was established to make the federal contracting space less daunting. Offering individualized coaching and training, Empower to Grow teaches entrepreneurs to be more competitive. Participating businesses receive training, executive education, one-on-one consulting, and more.
