INDIANAPOLIS — Yesterday, Kelly Loeffler, the 28th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, traveled to Indianapolis to announce the agency’s new Made in America Manufacturing Initiative alongside elected officials, small manufacturers, and other community stakeholders.
Administrator Loeffler was joined for the announcement by Indiana Gov. Mike Braun, U.S. Sen. Todd Young and U.S. Sen. Jim Banks at Aerodyn Engineering LLC – a small aerospace and defense manufacturer. The group toured the production facilities and delivered remarks about the importance of restoring American industry to create good-paying jobs, secure our supply chains, promote fair trade, and restore the blue-collar boom of President Trump’s first Administration.
Alongside the elected officials, as well as leaders from Aerodyn, Administrator Loeffler formally announced the launch of SBA’s Made in America Initiative. As part of that initiative, SBA will cut $100B in burdensome regulation, expand access to capital, invest in workforce development, and build a dedicated infrastructure to help small manufacturers thrive. Administrator Loeffler also reiterated the agency’s commitment to supporting President Trump’s pro-growth economic policy, including fair trade practices and tax cuts for manufacturers.
The Indiana visit was the first stop on the SBA Made in America Roadshow. Over the next two months, representatives from the agency’s Office of Manufacturing and Trade will embark on a multistate tour to hold roundtables with small manufacturers across the country.
