SBA Business Recovery Centers Close in Observance of Memorial Day; Permanently Close May 31

TLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today it will temporarily close its Business Recovery Centers in Maryland on Monday, May 27 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.  The centers will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 28. Additionally, the Centers will permanently close on May 31.

Customer Service Representatives at SBA’s Business Recovery Centers will assist business owners complete their disaster loan application, accept documents, and provide updates on an application’s status. Walk-ins are accepted, but you can schedule an in-person appointment at an SBA Disaster Recovery Center in advance.  The Centers will operate as indicated below.

Baltimore County  

 American Job Center

Baltimore, MD 21224  

Hours:        Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  

Closed:         Saturday and Sunday  

Holiday Closure:  Monday, May 27, in

observance of Memorial Day  

Permanently closes: Friday, May 31 at 2:30 p.m.

 

Business Recovery Center (BRC)  

Baltimore City

CareFirst Engagement Center  

1501 South Clinton Street  

Baltimore City, MD 21224  

 Hours:            Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  

                        Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.    

Closed:          Sunday  

Holiday Closure:  Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day  

Permanently closes: Friday, May 31 at 4 p.m.

Applicants may apply online and receive additional disaster assistance information at sba.gov/disaster. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.  

The deadline to return economic injury applications is Dec. 30, 2024.
