SBA Announces Holiday Closure of Business Recovery Center in East Providence

 Atlanta – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today its Business Recovery Center (BRC) in East Providence will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19, in observance of Presidents’ Day. The Center will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 8 a.m., and resume its normal operations. SBA opened the Center to assist small businesses and nonprofit organizations with economic losses due to the ongoing Washington Bridge closure that began Dec. 11, 2023.

SBA’s friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives are available to answer questions, help with applying for an SBA Disaster Loan, upload documents, check an application’s status, and assist with reconsideration requests.

                           Fridays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Applicants may apply online and receive additional disaster assistance information at sba.gov/disaster.  Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email DisasterCustomerService@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.

 

The filing deadline to return applications for economic injury disaster loans is Sept. 16, 2024.
