ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today its Business Recovery Centers (BRC) in Knox County, Tennessee for those affected by the severe storms and straight-line winds that occurred June 25-26, 2023, the center will be closed Christmas Day, and will reopen Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 8 a.m.
The SBA is also reminding businesses of all sizes, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters in Tennessee the deadline to apply for physical damage disaster loans is Jan. 2.
Anyone in the declared counties with physical property damage should apply for the low-interest disaster loan program. The declaration covers Knox County and the adjacent counties of Anderson, Blount, Graninger, Jefferson, Loudon, Roane, Sevier, and Union counties in Tennessee.
The SBA’s friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives are available to answer questions, help apply for an SBA Disaster Loan, upload documents, check an application’s status, and assist with reconsideration requests for the loan.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Jan. 2, 2024.The deadline to return economic injury applications is Aug. 2, 2024.
