Readout of SBA Administrator Guzman’s visit with Los Angeles and Inland Empire small business owners

The Administrator held a townhall with Congresswoman Torres’ office, local leaders, and entrepreneurs to highlight federal resources available to American small businesses

LOS ANGELES – On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman visited Los Angeles and Ontario, CA to meet with area small business owners, and highlight the variety of SBA resources available to both current and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Administrator Guzman began the day by participating in a roundtable discussion with resource partners and small business owners at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles in recognition of Jewish History Month.  The discussion focused on how the federal government can continue to address the needs of business owners through President Biden’s Investing in America agenda.

Following the roundtable, Administrator Guzman joined representatives from Congresswoman Torres’ office for a tour of Signfastic, a small business in Ontario focused on American manufacturing. Under the Biden Administration, the economy added over 800,000 manufacturing jobs – the most in nearly 30 years. Through a whole-of-government approach, the Biden Administration continues to focus on strengthening supply chains and expanding opportunities for small businesses to grow domestic manufacturing. To end the day, the Administrator participated in a town hall, hosted by Congresswoman Torres’ office and AmPac, sharing with local leaders, entrepreneurs, and resource partners how the SBA and Congress can continue working together to ensure entrepreneurs receive the help, resources, and funding they need to start and grow their businesses.
