SBA Veterans Small Business Advisory Committees Set to Host Virtual Public Meetings June 1-2

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Small Business Administration's Interagency Task Force on Veterans Small Business Development (IATF) and Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs (ACVBA) announced that the task force will hold its next set of virtual public meetings on June 1 and June 2, respectively, via Microsoft Teams.

“The quarterly IATF and ACVBA committee meetings are vital for SBA to gain a greater understanding of the current state of veteran-owned small businesses and how best to serve them,” said Larry Stubblefield, Associate Administrator for the SBA’s Office of Veterans Business Development. “These quarterly meetings are essential to keep the Veteran community aware of the status of the transfer of the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) along with updating stakeholders on OVBD programs, trends, and successes.”

WHAT:

IATF and ACVBA Virtual Public Meetings

The IATF meeting will include committee member updates from the Departments of Defense, Labor, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs (VA); General Services Administration; Office of Management and Budget; North Carolina Military Business Center; the American Legion; National Veteran Small Business Coalition; and VET-Force.

The ACVBA meeting will cover topics related to veteran business development, including the Center for Verification and Evaluation transfer of responsibilities to the SBA, VA’s small business programs, public procurement opportunities, and an update on Congressional actions related to veteran entrepreneurship.
