The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that SBA Business Recovery Centers (BRCs) in South Carolina will close on
Thursday, Nov. 22
in recognition of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The BRCs located in Chesterfield, Dillon, Florence, Horry and Marlboro counties will reopen on Friday, Nov. 23 and the BRC located in Marion County will resume normal operations on Monday, Nov. 26
Also, on Monday, Nov. 19 the Dillon County BRC located at the City of Dillon Wellness Center, 1647 Commerce Dr., Dillon, SC will begin new office hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
SBA representatives at the Centers can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help businesses in completing the SBA application. The Centers are located as indicated below:

The disaster declaration covers the counties of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion and Marlboro in South Carolina which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA. Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in the following adjacent counties are eligible to apply only for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans: Berkeley, Charleston, Clarendon, Kershaw, Lancaster, Lee, Sumter and Williamsburg in
South Carolina;
and Anson, Brunswick, Columbus, Richmond, Robeson, Scotland and Union in
North Carolina.
SBA disaster loans are available to businesses of all sizes, most private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters to cover uninsured losses from the disaster. Interest rates are as low as 3.675 percent for businesses, 2.5 percent for private nonprofit organizations, and 2.0 percent for homeowners and renters. Loan terms can be up to 30 years.
Economic injury disaster loans are also available to provide disaster related working capital to small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations. These working capital loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred.
