Low-interest disaster loans are available in Saint Joseph County and the adjacent counties of Elkhart, La Porte, Marshall and Starke in
Indiana
; and Berrien and Cass in
Michigan
.
“Currently, 26 business and home disaster loans have been approved in the amount of $1,244,000 for affected survivors,” said Frank Skaggs, director of Field Operations Center East. “We are pleased to get these loans approved so the businesses and residents of
Indiana
can rebuild and resume their normal lives. I encourage anyone who has not completed an SBA disaster loan application to do so quickly.”
Survivors may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at
https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela
.
Businesses and individuals may also obtain information and loan applications by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by emailing
disastercustomerservice@sba.gov
