MD 14799 - SBA Closes Center in Maryland; Physical Disaster Loan Deadline is October 11

ATLANTA – The U. S. Small Business Administration announced that it is closing its Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Ellicott City on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 3 p.m.  The Center has been in operation since Aug. 12 providing one-on-one assistance to businesses and residents that were affected by the July 30 heavy rains and flooding.  SBA’s disaster declaration covers Howard County and the adjacent counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery and Prince George’s in Maryland .

SBA representatives are encouraging businesses of all sizes, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters that need answers to questions or assistance with their disaster loan application to visit the Center before it closes.  The deadline to submit disaster loan applications for physical damage is Oct. 11, 2016.

Hours :    Monday  – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Closing :  Thursday, Sept. 15 at 3 p.m.

Small businesses, nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website.

Additional information on low-interest disaster loans are available by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov . Loan applications can also be downloaded from the SBA’s website at sba.gov/disaster.   Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Oct. 11, 2016 .  The deadline to return economic injury applications is May 10, 2017 .
