ATLANTA –

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today the opening of Business Recovery Centers (BRC) in Saint Johns and Volusia counties on Monday Oct. 31 to help Florida businesses impacted by Hurricane Matthew on Oct. 3 - 19, 2016.

“If your business sustained structural damages or losses to inventory, machinery or equipment, or if you have disaster-related working capital needs, we encourage you to consider applying for a low-interest disaster loan from SBA,” said Volusia County’s Emergency Manager Jim Judge. “There’s no cost to apply for federal disaster assistance and these loans can help businesses recover from damages caused by Hurricane Matthew.”

SBA representatives at the Business Recovery Center (BRC) can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help businesses in completing the SBA application.  No appointment is necessary. The Centers are located as indicated below and will operate until further notice:

The disaster declaration covers the counties of Brevard, Duval, Flagler, Indian River,

, which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA.  Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in the following adjacent counties are eligible to apply only for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Lake, Marion, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola and Saint Lucie in
