District Director Linda Nelson of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Arkansas District Office, today reminded small businesses in 30 Arkansas counties, neighboring Louisiana parishes and neighboring counties in Oklahoma and Texas of the March 28, 2016, deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster loan for economic injury caused by the severe storms, tornadoes, straight‑line winds and flooding in the following primary Arkansas counties that occurred May 7 - June 15, 2015.

Primary Arkansas counties: Crawford, Garland, Howard, Jefferson, Little River, Miller, Perry, Sebastian, and Sevier counties;

Neighboring Arkansas counties: Arkansas, Cleveland, Conway, Faulkner, Franklin, Grant, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Lafayette, Lincoln, Logan, Lonoke, Madison, Montgomery, Pike, Polk, Pulaski, Saline, Scott, Washington and Yell;

Neighboring Louisiana parishes: Bossier and Caddo;

Neighboring Oklahoma counties: Adair, Le Flore, McCurtain and Sequoyah;

Neighboring Texas counties: Bowie and Cass.

The interest rate is 4 percent for businesses and 2.625 percent for private nonprofit organizations with terms up to 30 years. Loan amounts and terms are set by SBA and are based on each applicant’s financial condition.
