PLEASE NOTE: This series is intended for entrepreneurs in the pre-venture startup phase or those with businesses less than one year old. It is ideal for individuals seeking to gain foundational knowledge and actionable steps to start their own business.

This five-week series is designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with a comprehensive introduction to starting their businesses correctly. You'll explore essential topics such as business feasibility, funding, legalities and tax responsibilities, operating elements, and positioning the business for future growth. Participants will engage in class activities, work outside of class, and meet regularly with their advisor to ensure they are well-prepared to launch their ventures.

  • Assessing the feasibility of a business concept
  • Exploring funding options for startups
  • Understanding legal structures and tax responsibilities
  • Learning essential operating disciplines 
  • Strategies for positioning a business for future growth
  • Determining a target market

The series will be held on Mondays, October 28, November 4, 11, 18, and 25.  Certificates of completion will be given to anyone attending at least four of the five sessions.
