We are pleased to welcome you to another LIVE Strong Coffee Strong Women- Fall Edition! The event will be in person at the Baristas & Barristers in downtown Montgomery, AL. 

This month will feature Essence Phenix, Franchise Owner of Smoothie King

 We will open at 5:30 PM CT for the in-person event with the program starting at 6:00 PM CT. Refreshments will be available.

At Strong Coffee Strong Women, a successful woman shares her shot of inspiration, or “Espresso-monial.” If you are interested in connecting with other inventive, inspired, resourceful, and highly productive business owners and industry/government experts, this event is a must-attend.

About Essence: 

Essence Phenix is a dynamic entrepreneur and owner of multiple Smoothie King franchises with a deep passion for innovation and community development. With over 17 years of experience in the franchising industry, Essence and her husband, Charles, have successfully launched several locations across Alabama, including in Montgomery, Prattville, and Tuscaloosa.

Beyond her business ventures, Essence is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She has served on the boards of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and the Wilson YMCA. In May 2020, she played a pivotal role as a committee member of the "Small Business Relief Fund," which awarded grants to hundreds of local businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Essence holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and a Master of Science in Communicative Disorders. She leverages her expertise in these fields through her work as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In addition, she mentors aspiring business owners, sharing her knowledge of franchising and leadership.

Essence has been married to Charles for 21 years, and together they have two children: Kaitlin, 20, and Andrew, 16. Committed to making a positive impact in both business and her community, Essence continues to inspire through her leadership and dedication.
