Join us for a free, virtual webinar series on Small Business Finance Essentials, where you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence needed to build a solid financial foundation for your business. This virtual webinar series is geared towards entrepreneurs who are new to business and small business owners who need a refresher. The webinar series will cover the following topics across 3 weekly sessions from September 24 to October 8: 

  • Tuesday, September 24, 6:30-7:30pm: Finance Fundamentals for Small Business. What we’ll cover in Session 1: 
    • Understand the basics of the main financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow 
    • Learn best practices for recording and organizing your finances 
    • Familiarize yourself with common business tax deductions
  • Tuesday, October 1, 6:30-7:30pm: Mastering Costs and Pricing. What we’ll cover in Session 2: 
    • Determine your startup costs and startup capital 
    • Learn how to differentiate between fixed vs. variable costs 
    • Learn best practices for pricing your product and/or service
  • Tuesday, October 8, 6:30-7:30pm: Forecasting your Finances: Calculating Break-even and Beyond. What we’ll cover in Session 3: 
    • Understand how to calculate and interpret your break-even point >Learn how to calculate your gross and net profit margins 
    • Review basic forecasting techniques 
    • Consider your goals for the business and how to determine long-term sustainability
