Event description

Fraud in government programs takes money away from you as an American taxpayer and may also impact you as a government contractor.

Annually, the government loses approximately $30 billion dollars a year in fraud.

As you begin your journey to become a government contractor, one of the key elements to be aware of is when and where you may be exposed to contract fraud. What types of fraud exist? What does it look like? What are the implications and the consequences of fraud? How can I make sure I don’t mistakenly do something where I am exposed to fraud or even commit fraud unknowingly? Have I correctly completed my SAM.gov registration and have I correctly completed my representations and certifications?

This class, conducted by Federal Law Enforcement Agents from the General Services Administration, the Department of Defense, and other federal agencies will help you to identify, avoid, and if necessary, report any fraud you may encounter as a government contractor.

Topics include:  Product Substitution, Kickbacks, Bribery, Collusion, Certification (DBE) Fraud, etc.

Hear it from the Agents themselves and learn about actual cases.

This class is open to all APEX clients and federal employees.
