Event description

National Preparedness  Region 1: Organizations Preparing for Emergency Needs (OPEN) Training

The U.S. Small Business Administration's Rhode Island District Office and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 1 are hosting a free 2-hour "Organizations Preparing for Emergency Needs”(OPEN) Training. This free 2-hour session will teach you the importance of keeping community organizations operational during emergencies. When critical services such as food pantries, daycares, nonprofits, and similar groups are unable to function, the people who rely on them are greatly impacted. The OPEN training is designed to empower these organizations with emergency preparedness skills, so they can better prepare for and respond to crisis situations.

Who should attend:

Whole community, family, caregivers, Tribal, Local, State, and Federal Emergency Managers, community and faith-based organizations, businesses, and NGOs.
