Event description

Join the U.S. Small Business Administration Rhode Island District Office and U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) for a webinar on "Crisis Preparedness: Small Business Owners." The webinar will provide information to help small business owners identify concerning activities and behaviors that could lead to targeted violence, often described as "active shooter" attacks. Active shooter incidents are dynamic, unpredictable, and can escalate quickly. Recent active shooter incidents underscore the importance of thorough preparedness and a coordinated response to save lives and minimize the harmful effects of such incidents.

CISA provides a broad range of no-cost security capacity-building products, training, and resources that range from informational materials to planning-oriented tools, such as templates and guides that aim to help organizations prepare for:

  • Prevent;
  • Protect against;
  • Mitigate;
  • Respond to;
  • Recover from active shooter incidents.
  • SBA resources overview
  • Q&A
