Event description

Attend this virtual event to learn how the Department of Defense (DoD) and other agencies fund science & technology, the basics of Technology Transfer for University faculty, and how small businesses can successfully collaborate with university faculty.

This event features a first-of-a-kind curriculum and networking opportunity, designed to assist faculty and small businesses begin the discussion of advancing innovation into the marketplace, utilizing university partnerships and seeking Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program funding.

The SBIR/STTR programs are the nation’s largest source of early stage, high risk research & development funding for entrepreneurs, providing more than $4 billion annually in competitive awards. They enable the development of new technologies and ultimately, facilitate the commercialization of innovation. Small businesses can subcontract a portion of their SBIR/ STTR awards to universities.

This event has pre-conference training, faculty-small business matchmaking, and post-conference collaboration activities!
