Event description

The HUBZone Federal Government Contracting Certification Program provides greater federal contracting opportunities for small businesses located in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (“HUBZones”) and with a workforce made up of at least 35% HUBZone residents. Federal government contracting set-aside and sole-source opportunities are available to SBA-certified HUBZone firms, a price evaluation preference can be applied on certain federal contracts to non-HUBZone bids to provide SBA-certified HUBZone firms with a competitive advantage in full-and-open bidding, and subcontracts with prime federal government contractors can be awarded specifically to SBA HUBZone-certified firms.
