The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will provide an overview of small business resources. The HR presentation by SCORE, will discuss compliance issues, issues with staying in compliance, and alternatives for achieving and maintaining compliance.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:

Katie Nielson is a versatile professional with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design - Media Arts from California State University, Chico, where she also minored in Business Marketing. Her professional journey includes over four years as the Administrative Supervisor at the on-campus bookstore, Chico State Wildcat Store (Associated Students), where she developed expertise in sales and operations. Katie's sales experience extends to roles within The Danielsen Company in Chico, Rakuten (Ebates) in San Francisco, and seven20 (Underground Toys) in San Diego.

Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Katie successfully passed the CBEST, demonstrating her commitment to education and enabling her to contribute as a substitute teacher in California. With a passion for leveraging her diverse skill set, Katie is now a Senior Product Advisor with Heartland and is dedicated to making meaningful contributions to help businesses and entrepreneurs succeed.

Freddy Santos, armed with a Business Degree and a Masters in Organizational Management, embodies a profound grasp of entrepreneurship and personnel development. His expertise has been instrumental in crafting and nurturing high-performing sales teams. With a rich career spanning pivotal roles at AT&T Wireless, Verizon, Allstate, Farmers Insurance, and Heartland Payments Systems, Freddy has adeptly led teams across sales, marketing, and operations. 

His unwavering commitment to streamlining processes, empowering employees, and pursuing excellence has consistently propelled success in sales, marketing, and communications. Beyond his professional endeavors, Freddy Santos is an avid globetrotter and an involved community member in Folsom, California. He is deeply committed to fostering a "can do" culture within his family and interpersonal relationships, championing positivity and growth in every interaction.

SBA Resources will review loan and grant programs available through the SBA.

Oksana Zubrytska, Outreach and Marketing Specialist from SBA’s Sacramento District Office will deliver SBA’s presentation.
