Event description

We know that women continue to face more barriers than men to obtaining money to start and grow a small business, and women of color face even more barriers. We want to make sure a lack of information isn't one of those barriers. On this panel, we will pull together information on different sources of capital and who they are right for. The panel will explore:

  • SBA loans and eligibility requirements
  • Kiva.org and how to use their platform to raise capital through a 0% interest loan up to $15,000
  • NH Community Loan Fund’s programs including their Community-Driven Economic Empowerment grant, and Minority-Owned Small Business Loans
  • Finding and accessing microloan programs through places like Regional Economic Development Corporation (REDC)
  • Tips to prepare for applying for any funding opportunity, and navigating online application processes

Below are a few of the panelists you will hear from:

Liz Salas Evans, Business advisor, REDC, Liz is responsible for counseling current and prospective REDC clients. Her advising includes business planning, financial planning, and marketing plan development.

Latonya Wallace, Business Lender with NH Community Loan Fund: Carlos recently joined the Community Loan Fund team and brings his personal experience as an entrepreneur to this new role, helping to match the needs of small business owners with the right funding and support to see them succeed!

Jayne Rayno, VP Senior Relationship Manager, Bangor Savings Bank

Kerrington Eubanks, Senior Managing Director, Lendistry

Tuesday Belanger, Lender Relations Specialist with NH Small Business Administration: She joined the NH SBA office in February 2020.  She is a Lender Relations Specialist and is involved with marketing and outreach of all SBA lending programs and lender training, development and recruitment.  She also assists the office with outreach and training efforts to small business and partners in Belknap County.
