Demystifying the Patent Process

Event description

Paul Contino is a former Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office presently working as a consultant and search specialist to assist individuals, businesses, and law firms with patent matters. He resides in eastern Washington state and is a mentee of SCORE.

Paul has created a presentation that will offer an overview of the patent process and address many questions that have arisen during his time as a consultant. The goal of the workshop is to provide information and education to those interested in learning more about patents in general, offering insight into what a patent is, how to determine and prepare for filing of a patent, and how patents are granted.
