Event description
Florida Tech won Phase I funding from the US Small Business Administration 2024 Growth Accelerator Competition for its inclusive approach to advancing small business R&D. This funding will support a summit showcasing the Space Coast's innovation ecosystem, especially for female founders. Hosted by Florida Tech's weVENTURE Women's Business Center (WBC) and CAMID, this 2-day Summit introduces the new Florida Techcelerator Program, enhancing partnerships and resources, engaging mentors and investors, and selecting the first cohort. Founders can pitch live for scholarships in the Techcelerator Mentorship Program and compete for the weVENTURE WBC IMPACT Grant.
Special Documentary Screening - Show Her the Money: This documentary reveals that women receive less than 2% of venture capital funding and features female investors supporting diverse women entrepreneurs. Open to the public at 4pm, including a panel discussion with the film's producers and investors.
