Event description

The U.S. Small Business Administration Baltimore District Office is hosting a live online event to cover important steps in figuring out how to start your business. This webinar will focus on three items entrepreneurs should work through as they get ready to start their business.

A crucial part of establishing a successful business is conducting market and customer research and exploring the “why”. The first topic discussed will be the basics of conducting that research, the differences between primary and secondary research, how to create your customer avatar, and more. If you want to know more about identifying your product or service’s market and future clients, please join us at the top of the event.

The second topic will focus on various financing options for starting businesses. Experts will discuss SBA-backed loans, small business financing, and microloans. The guest experts will give tips about the best products for various industries. Participants will also receive information on top mistakes business owners face when submitting an application.

The third and final topic will break down a crucial team for every business: the B.A.I.L. team (Banker, Accountant, Insurance, Lawyer). This team is crucial for businesses to succeed and navigate the potential challenges throughout its lifecycle. Hear from experts in each of those areas about the importance of a strong relationship with the B.A.I.L. team, and how to maximize the relationship.
