Beginner Financials for USVI Entrepreneurs

Event description

This beginner's course is instructed by VI SBDC State Director John Morosco who will give an introduction to managing small business financials.

Participants will: learn basic accounting terminology; identify the differences between the cash and accrual accounting methods;  become familiar with accounts payable and receivables; use a journal and general ledger to document business financials; utilize the balance sheet; identify different types of financial statements; understand the payroll process and employer responsibilities;  create a budget; and become familiar with internal and external auditing.
