Event description

If your small business is located in a designated HUBZone and meets the requirements, it may be eligible for special set-aside contracts to sell to the federal government. HUBZones represent an effort to increase employment opportunities, investment, and economic development in these designated areas.

To qualify for the HUBZone program, your business must:

  • Be a small business according to SBA size standards
  • Be at least 51% owned and controlled by U.S. citizens, a Community Development Corporation, an agricultural cooperative, an Alaska Native corporation, a Native Hawaiian organization, or an Indian tribe
  • Have your principal office located in a HUBZone
  • Have at least 35% of your employees living in a HUBZone

The HUBZone program fuels the growth of small businesses in historically underutilized business zones (HUBZones) by providing certification for preferential access to federal contracts. The federal government has a goal to award at least 3% of all federal contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses each year.

If your business meets these qualifications, attend this webinar and learn how to become a HUBZone-Certified Business and sell to the government!
